Zoe Wilcox Edrington

Farmed raised herself in Illinois’ Mississippi River Vally, Zoe Wilcox began studying Permaculture for in 2001 at the Crystal Waters Permaculture Village in NSW, Australia. She studied and taught sustainable agriculture for 2.5 years in Zambia, Africa with the U.S. Peace Corps. On moving to New Mexico, she mentored under Jim Brookes for two years in dryland’s Permaculture techniques. Since 2009, Zoe, partnering with husband, Bard Edrington, runs Mother Nature Gardens, a demonstration urban farm and learning center, and Living Edge Landscaping, a sustainable & edible landscaping company. She teaches the Mother Nature Gardens, Albuquerque Backyard Farming Series, and the Southwest Permaculture Institute. Zoe Wilcox and Melanie Rubin are currently completing a book titled, Urban Farming for Drylands, due out this spring. Bard Edrington

Bard Edrington is a Permaculture Designer specializing in edible landscapes and rainwater harvesting systems. In his business, Living Edge Landscaping, they convert hot gravel scapes and thirsty lawns into sustainable habitats that feed people and provide their own needs. He also teaches workshops in urban sustainability through Mother Nature Gardens.
